Chip off the ‘ole block
My knife block is pushing 13 years old, and it is one of those eyesores. So, I experimented this week and rough sanded it and wiped some dark walnut stain to give it a bit of a makeover. I probably will sand again and put another coat of stain on it, but for now it isn’t as hideous. 😉
I know, it’s not terrible, but I needed to show it a bit of love by giving it a minor makeover.
I just used an old rag to wipe on my stain and wasn’t too picky about getting down into the slots that holds the knives. They’d be hidden if knives are in it anyhow.
I’m loving the darker wood and the fact that it didn’t take much to give this a bit of a different look.
