Picket fence Headboard

It’s been several weeks since I posted about my exciting bedroom change. Our schedules have been crazy busy, but I finally carved out enough time to put together a simple headboard for our bedroom. A friend of mine brought me several old fence pickets awhile back, and I wasn’t sure what I’d use them for, but I knew they wouldn’t sit around too long. I didn’t love the headboard we had before, so I did not want to waste my time fixing it. My plan was to just space the pickets on some cheap wood I had in my stock and just put it in place to see if I liked it. I loved it once I had it together and couldn’t wait to see it against the faux brick wall.

It has been a nice addition to my $100 room challenge. 

Anyone have a great store to buy nice matching (cheap) industrial lights for my side tables? I loved one at Kirklands, but they aren’t selling the tall ones that I wanted anymore.😔 


Lately my time is pretty spent on homeschooling and loving on my littles, church events and other wonderful aspects of ministry; so, blogging is on the back burner. But, I’m hoping I can pick a few times here and there to give you a glimpse of life and a few words of encouragement.
