Fabric hair clip tutorial
Grab some scraps of fabric from your local Mary Jos, goodwill, or other fabric store
Cut a strip of fabric however long you want it. The longer you go the larger the flower. I like to do mine about 18 inches and about 1 1/2 inches wide. But you can cut narrower too and it will be thinner. I did one longer too and love how big it is!
Tie a knot at the end and then again (double knot)
like so
Twist and roll your fabric around your knot and glue as you go! You don’t need tons of glue, but make sure you are gluing or it will come unraveled
Keep twisting, rolling and gluing
Finished Product—glue on your clip, bobby pin, or pin
The girls helped me make several in different fabrics
We also found lots of flowers at Michaels for $.89 last week, cut off the stem, and took out the yellow pollen. Then we bejeweled them with our free jewels we found several months ago! Hooray for summery colors!
