Munchkin Moments,  Trash to Treasure

My Weekly Treasure Hunt

I pretty much used up my yard sale money last weekend with a bazillion awesome deals, but I did happen to snag a few little things while my hubby and son were at a campout retreat our church hosted this weekend.

The girls and I enjoyed an early night to bed under our made up tent and after completion of our own little manicures! You’d think after a few crazy busy insane weeks, I would have unplugged the alarm clock and just stayed in bed. Yes, that was an option until I saw a big church yard sale sign on the side of the road the day before. misc 750 So, it was early to bed and early to rise for my angels and I. We drove to the church yard sale first for which I was so thankful because they had tables and tables of girl clothes! I wasn’t sure what the prices were, but I just started grabbing up all the Children’s place, Gap, Old Navy, Gymboree and other name brand cutest ever clothes. I figured, the worst case scenario would be I’d have to put them back, but there were tons of people there and several with little girls, so it was a “fight” for first come first serve. Ha ha! Not really a fight, but you get my drift!

After my arms were full I asked the lady how much the clothes were. She said, 50 cents a piece and I thought that was pretty good. No offense, that is really good, but when you only have $7 total, that 50 cents adds up really fast. So, I started picking through what I had found weeding out the not as cute stuff—despite the fact it was ALL cute! I think she noticed what I was doing and said, “Well, here, just fill a trash bag and give me $2.50 for it all! What? I was so excited!!! Cant’ beat $2.50 for that many clothes! I skipped away with a bag of clothes for the girl’s fall and summer wardrobe for next year, a cute aqua necklace for me, a tie and 2 shirts for Andrew, a brand new pack of light bulbs that were on my need to get list, and a brand new Large Wilton Chocolate fountain that I already have plans to use soon! I paid $7 for all of my loot! Super excited I was and so were the girls because they each got to pick out a toy for free and they both found princess pajamas!

misc 757  After our yard sale find we headed to our clothing closet that we venture to occasionally. I didn’t find a ton of stuff, but I did find these 2 matching cute dresses for the girls! I was super stoked, because the girls love the whole match each other thing! misc 777

Any fun finds for you this weekend?
