Changes
Summer is upon us and we have only a few more days of school left for Andrew. Chloe is super ecstatic considering she gets to go full-time in the fall! Mommy, on the other hand, isn’t sure I am ready for that to happen quite yet. So, we will enjoy the summer all together.
With that said, I am having to get extra organized and very creative for the next 8 weeks! Brian’s job is only a seasonal position so he will be without work for 8 weeks starting on Monday! It is a mixed blessing for sure! Last year we went to Wisconsin and stayed with family for 3 + weeks which was amazing, awesome, and we loved it. Unfortunately, with baby on the way we cannot do any traveling like that this summer. So, spending, entertainment, yard sales and such get put on the back burner for the next several weeks! We have lots approaching ministry wise, so I am glad for something to keep us busy. We are still praying and trusting the Lord to give Brian a few odd jobs to help compensate for the bills, and I am very thankful I still have a weekly cleaning job. We are praying that they decide to keep up with paying me and not go on record like last year (they didn’t pay any of my summer jobs until December.)
But, I always love to say that in times like these God proves to be much bigger and I can lean on Him for EVERYTHING! I will say, that I am looking forward to having my sweetheart around the home more, and the kids are super excited that Daddy doesn’t have to work as much. Pretty sure we are gonna be a sunburned, pruny family after all the hours we spend in our pool together!
The Lord has continually reminded me that my attitude is my choice and having a good attitude about this has proven to make life much easier! We are looking forward to getting some stuff done around the yard, gardening, outdoor activities, family campout, and lots of other events!
I am so blessed to have a hard working husband and a loving God who provides for our every needs! So, if you don’t see any huge blog posts on major renovations around our humble abode, you know why! ha ha! Actually, I am thankful those huge projects are few and far between now. Maybe I’ll convince my loving man to finish the front porch for me and a few other odds and ends that we already have the supplies for! I think I can come up with a fairly lengthy list!
Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you some of the SWEET deals I got yard saling on Saturday—ALONE!!!
