Here Piggy, Piggy!

I love having piggy banks for all our munchkins! Honestly, it has been so fun to teach them to save their pennies too. And, yard saling is certainly one of those activities that my little ones enjoy dumping out their coins for!

Well, we have found the other 3 piggy banks from goodwills or yard sales, so I wrote one on on our yard sale list for the new baby! When I went to the clothing closet this weekend I “happened” across a piggy bank! It was definitely not in the category of cute! And, it had a huge ark and rainbow painted all over it. But, my favorite friend, spray paint, called and I threw the piggy into my pile of “to take” items!

The best part was my hubby grabbed the pink spray paint and took it upon himself to lightly coat the bank several times—til it was perfect—I would have messed it up by being impatient! Then, my little ones had the bright idea to paint spots on the piggy with the different colors of the girls room!

I like it, it matches, and it is now much cuter than before. The most important part is that it was free!! Not to mention that we had so much fun all working together to get it to be so cute! So, every time I look up and see that cute little piggy’s smile I smile back remembering the fun we had creating it together!
