Just a little more progress

A few weeks ago I shared the first little bit of progress we had made in Andrew’s little book nook. It hasn’t come much further at all, but my sweet hubby found a cool little find in the garbage in front of someone’s house. I totally forgot to take a picture of it before he unloaded it from his truck and put a saw to it! He was too fast!

Then….

It was a cool looking little desk that he figured would be perfect to fit in Andrew’s little spot. So, the saw in Brian’s hand went to work and this is what it looks like for now. I am going to paint it blue eventually, but life has been a bit crazy so who knows when it will take place. Plus, it’s behind a closed door, so it definitely doesn’t take precedence. I need to paint the iron stool too, but in time maybe I will be able to take a picture of a completely redone closet!

So, our little remodel of a closet has pretty much been free!! I am so excited about that alone and that we are actually getting it underway! What a fun accomplishment!

Now….

Does your husband keep his eyes peeled for you for trash on the side of the road too? I laughed out loud, but was so tickled that he thought of me when picking this up! He even went to the person’s door to make sure they were giving it for free. I so would have just looked both ways, snatched it, and thrown it in the van. I love my thrifty, sacrificial man!
