Blessings NOT Burdens!!!

I cannot believe this sweet little girl is going to be 2 in a week! Ahhhhh! Time certainly does fly! The Lord continually reminds me of how blessed I am to be a mommy of 3 little ones, 1 on the way, and 2 waiting for me in Heaven! I think often we mommy’s take for granted this blessed opportunity. I have some very sweet friends and siblings who long to have the same opportunity. Yet, our selfish HUGE flesh often complains of dirty diapers, sickness, doctor appointments, inconvenience in grocery shopping, scheduling, lack of “me” time, discipline, and so much more! Why must we focus on all the “negatives” and forget about all the blessings that come with those pudgy hands, muddy feet, and chubby cheeks????! Why must we focus on the “what we don’t have” and focus on the true blessings we have in raising our little ones for the glory of God???!

While I have never been in the shoes of many of my friends who struggle with having a hard time conceiving or just never being able to have kids, I can say that  the ones I have met with true, godly attitudes and a committed desire to serve the Lord 100% has been an eye opener and a challenge to me! While I may have my life pulled in a million directions, so do so many wives who do not have children and often more so than myself! To those of you out there who God has yet to bless with little ones, thank you for your friendship, examples, and love for the Lord. Many of you have been an eternal impact on our little ones and we do NOT take that for granted! I have a long list of ladies that I pray for often that God would  bless them too with a precious little one! May He continue to use you in my life and many others as you continue to serve Him and be all you can be for Him despite an intense desire for more.

And, mommy’s out there, don’t forget to thank God for those energetic, noisy little ones each moment of the day! It is a PRIVILEGE, HUGE RESPONSIBILITY, and a PRICELESS GIFT that God has given us and we must treat it as such!
