Decor on a Dime,  Organizing,  Trash to Treasure

Oh Baby!!

Sorry for the later post today! My nesting is hitting home and I have been determined to get lots of projects done!!! After much deliberation and cleaning I finally broke down and brought the crib down and washed all the bedding to have everything ready for baby. We have a place for her already in our room, but I wanted to get the girls room done.

So, to the attic I ventured! Totally going to have a yard sale sometime after this baby comes. I have so much stuff and lots of adorable boy stuff that we won’t be needing. Well, back to the girls room…..I have always loved mobiles for above the crib for our little ones to enjoy, but I have never found one that I absolutely LOVE! And, after reading one of my sweet friend’s post a few weeks ago and seeing what she did with some decorations for a shower, I knew exactly what type of mobile I was going to MAKE!

Chloe and Andrew really enjoyed helping me put this little thing together. We had so many laughs and lots of fun little discussions along the way!

I failed in the aspect of picture taking, but I did get the before and after if that’s any consolation! Honestly, it was super easy and involved very little materials.

We just started with a Styrofoam ball, a glue gun, and coffee filters. I just pinched the filter together and glued it onto the ball until it was completely full.

Then, I just grabbed a scissors and snipped off stuff that wasn’t quite even! We made 3 balls for our mobile and spray painted them 3 colors of the girls room—lime green, pink, and brown!

Here is our finished project…. and we love it might I add?!!

Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you the finished room all ready and waiting for our little princess!

Friday I’ll show you a sneak peak to my 3 hour makeover for the guest bathroom—complete with burnt orange!
