Laundry paint~ ($100 Room Challenge)

I’ve enjoyed tackling projects in our laundry room this week. Thankfully, the rain finally decided to stop, and I made some headway.
Due to the small space and so many large items in the room, I decided to just maneuver around them as I painted the room. It obviously caused this task to take a bit longer, but I didn’t want my laundry to be completely out of commission during this project. (to be honest, my washer and dryer were going as I did the rolling)😉 I filled in tons of holes before jumping into the painting. It’s a simple task that I’ve needed to do for a year, and just never made myself do it. That is one of the best things I love about these challenges. It forces you to just do it!
Swiss Coffee is the wall color I went with. It is in the white shades, but actually isn’t as stark as bright white. The room needed a bit of brightening up and this one worked the best. The picture below almost has a pink hue, but on the walls it is perfect.

Here’s the room before I painted. Lots of browns and hodge podge of decor. It definitely served the purpose of 3 crucial spaces in our home, but it needed some tlc.
This is what the room looked like when we moved in. My sweet husband put up two shelves right away so I had some space for storage.
I cut in the whole room and left the far wall behind the washer and dryer. Part of this month’s project will be ship-lapping this wall, and I cannot wait to show you the reveal at the end of the month.
Because the room is smaller and everything is still in the room, here’s just a sneak peak on how the paint looks. It completely brightens up the room and gives it a fresh new look. Oh, and do you see those super cute buffalo check curtains? I snagged an amazing deal at Goodwill while I was planning this project. My 2 year old helped me make beautiful curtains out of the item we found. Come back next Wednesday and I’ll have a post all about it.
Check out several other sweet friends who have incredible projects underway this month…
