My Weekly Treasure hunt
Despite a crazy busy and emotional weekend I did manage to slip away for some relaxation doing something I love most—yard sale shopping! My sweet princess Chloe enjoyed a day out with mommy (will have a later post on this fun event). Here are just some of the things we found together at an annual huge subdivision sale and hour and a half away! And, YES, it was so worth the drive!!!
Van full of loot!
$3 water table— I have actually had this on our list just for a bit of extra fun for the summer!
$2 lamp—to replace the one my little ones broke. It is rod iron and I LOVED it. She was asking $5 for the stand and 2 shades, but I didn’t need the shades so we did some fun bartering!
This was probably one of our favorite finds for the girls. My kids so do NOT need toys, but when shopping with a four year old, it’s hard for a mommy to resist such a fun looking toy. They were asking $20 for it, so we offered $10. They said no, so we walked to the next few sales and ventured back toward our van with our arms full from other sales. As we passed the same sale this toy sat at I asked again if they were sure they didn’t want to take $10. And, yes, they said, “Sure, take it!” My Chloe Belle, skipped the whole way to the van, and I think mommy would have too if it hadn’t been for the basketball attached to my belly!
I fell in the love with this at the first yard sale we came to. They were asking $5 for it and the Marshalls price tag on the back read $110! It is currently holding all the dress-up stuff. No worries, it doesn’t have the ducks on it anymore—just plain white!
This cute little bench needs some work, but when we set it in the yard Maddie ran over to it and just sat there forever! I am thinking it will get much use when mommy gets it repainted!
I also found a brand new body pillow for $3 that I have prayed for for awhile. Sleeping these days has become almost impossible so it was definitely a need! We found lots of clothes for the kids fall and next summer’s wardrobes, a few essentials for the baby, another booster seat, and several other little things. All in all, it was a pretty sweet treasure hunt for us!
Any fun finds for you this past weekend? Let’s just say, this particular yard sale is going on my calendar for next year—it was awesome!

it was in Greenville, SC
I know about the loaded house! I actually am pretty set when it comes to furniture and pieces and such. Now, it's just replacing stuff if I find something I absolutely love! I am planning on having my own yard sale this fall. We shall see! (o:
